Nature Is All Around Us

Have you ever got up close and personal with Nature?  I'm not necessarily talking about Wildlife, that would be foolish.  What about Plants?  Or even smaller insects?  Here are a couple of Close ups that I'm rather fond of.

Wood Chunk

Taking pictures often times involves getting down on the ground and close up.  When you get close up, there is a whole new perspective on things.  Many people probably would have passed this chunk of wood up, but not me.  I saw it as a Photo Opportunity.  Sometimes, they make for interesting images.

The first image was adjusted taken with a slower shutter speed.  Notice how there is too much light in the image?  The second image was adjusted to take the image at just the right angle and light settings.

The Great Horned Owl

When you're sitting around and you see an animal just sitting there, sometimes you just have to take some pictures.  While many of the images that I took of this Great Horned Owl, didn't exactly turn out well, many of them did.  Enjoy the images.  It's a wise idea though to use a Tripod if you have one readily available.  Not always an option though.

Avocado For Lunch?

I had an Avocado for lunch today, ok for a snack.  Not exactly the best thing for lunch.  I really enjoy them with a bit of salt on them.  Even a good Guacamole is great, add in a little bit of Salsa and Refried Beans, and you're good to go.  Ok, maybe I'm getting a little too weird now.  Do you like Avocado?  How do you like them?

Pepsi a Favorite Drink

When your favorite drinks come to mind, what hits the front first?  Mine happens to be Pepsi.  Perhaps yours is the American Icon Coca Cola.  Who can resist the cuddly Polar Bear commercials right?  Not to mention Heart Warming.  While I'm still a fan of Pepsi, even I have to admit that the Coke commercials are a win.  They certainly know how to make them.  Now, if only Pepsi would get on the ball and be a bit more creative, instead of trying to copy the Polar Bear theme.  How about Eskimos?  Everyone finds them interesting.  Ok, maybe that was a little corny.  Let me know what you think below.

Blueberry Bushes - Wild

Nothing beats a good Blueberry, except when you've got wild ones growing in your yard.  Talk about going organic.  These bushes are loaded and will soon be ripe to pick.  Might have to get a freezer just for them.  What's your favorite Berry?

Sago Palms

Sago Palms.  These slow growing trees are always interesting to look at.  Especially when you have enough in your yard that you can see them at different growth stages.
